Dog Grooming

Each dog will be groomed by myself or during peak times myself and helper as 90% of my business are repeat customers you know that your dog will be well cared for and made to feel comfortable. As I provide a one to one service I build up a relationship with your dog, getting to know their likes and dislikes. I keep a record of all grooming sessions so that I know what styles or lengths were requested before so the next time if you want shorter or longer I know what you want.

Each appointment should take no more than two hours for a small to medium dog so there isn't lots of waiting around. I groom in a calm relaxing environment so there won't be lots of people or dogs coming and going, this helps relieve the stress of grooming for your dog. I use a variety of drying methods to suit your dogs. Please see below for a complete list of what is included in our Standard Groom.

If you are unsure about having your dog groomed or how you want him/her groomed then please come along for a free consultation.  I am happy to arrange a time where you can meet me, see where I work and discuss your grooming requirements or any concerns you may have.   I like to help nervous dogs as well as nervous owners!

Puppies

If you have a puppy that will need grooming as an adult then bring it along now for some free familiarisation sessions. We can spend 10 minutes getting pup used to being on the table and hearing the equipment running. This will be 10 minutes of cuddles and strokes and then later on when you need the grooming to be done your pup wont be stressed or scared by the experience.

Aggressive Dogs

If I feel it would be unsafe for either the dog or myself to continue the groom I will call you and ask you to collect your dog - this may mean the groom is not completed.

Some requirements pre-grooming

Please ensure your dog has been exercised and given the opportunity to go to the toilet prior to grooming. 

Please advise if your dog has any health issues that may affect his tolerance toward grooming  - for example joint pains.

The Standard Groom

• Full groom to remove undercoat, knots and matts.
• Ears Cleaned
• Eyes Cleaned
• Nails Cut
• Bathed with shampoo according to coat requirements
• Conditioner
• Hand Dryed
• Clipped or Scissored as per requirements
• Finishing Cologne Spray
